The sales of Unilever increased slower
In the third quarter of 2013, the British-Dutch Unilever has reached the smallest sales growth since the last quarter of 2009.
The company's revenue – exchange rate effect and buying shares adjusted – increased by 3.2 percent in the third quarter of 2013, after the 5.9 percent increase of the previous year – the company announced.
According to the world's second largest consumer goods manufacturer the slowing is due to the 5.9 percent increase pace in the emerging countries. The revenue growth in the emerging countries slowed down from the previous year's 12.1 percent. Unilever conducts the bulk of its turnover in emerging countries. (MTI Eco, Világgazdaság Online)
