The growth of retail sales slowed in the Czech Republic
Retail sales in the Czech Republic increased by 0.6 percent on an annual basis in February. In January, this indicator was 5.6 percent – the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) announced on Wednesday in Prague.
According to statistics, the turnover of Internet shops increased at the fastest pace – by about 20 percent – in February. The sales of footwear, sporting accessories computers increased as well. However, the sales of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and household equipments increased only minimally or stagnated. (Kokes János, MTI)
