Economic growth in the euro area slowed in June
Growth in the euro area’s economic performance slowed more than expected in June, according to the preliminary value of the Purchasing Managers’ Index of the London-based IHS Markit economic research institute released in Thursday.
The non-final value of manufacturing PMI in June fell to a 22-month low of 52 points, weaker than the 54.6 points in May and worse than the expected 53.9 points.
The PMI in the service sector fell to 52.8 points, a five-month low from the 56.1 points in May. Experts expected a less deteriorating indicator of 55.5 points. (MTI)
