The growth rate of food retail has slowed
Food retail sales growth rate slowed in the past twelve months. Between February 2015 and January 2016 the turnover of food retail increased by 4 percent to almost 1550 billion HUF, compared to the previous similar period.
Sales increased in 2014 by 5 percent in a year over year comparision. The fact that the food sales in last December-January increased by only 3 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year also plays a role – the Retail Index of the Nielsen consumer information and knowledge services company reveals.
