Slow food price increase is expected
Food price increase will not stop, but instead of massive price increase a slow increase is expected.
“While wheat is expensive, the price of flour decreases, which is a rather difficult situation for the milling industry” – Pótsa Zsófia, General Secretary of the Hungarian Grain Processors, Feed Manufacturers and Merchants Association explained to Világgazdaság. She added that in addition to the very strong competitition on the market, cheap Slovakia and Romania imported flour also hardens the situation in Hungary. (Braunmüller Lajos, Világgazdaság Online)
