Rural restaurants are struggling to survive
The HelloVidék portal conducted an interview with Levente Tarnai, a gastronomic marketing expert from the BOOM Group’s Hypin’ marketing agency, discussing the importance of gastronomic marketing for rural hospitality establishments. During the conversation, Levente Tarnai emphasized that gastronomic marketing encompasses various aspects, such as pricing, guest satisfaction, loyalty, and customer traffic, and it’s crucial for rural restaurants and cafes to appeal to both local and tourist visitors.
In the interview, it was mentioned that brand building should not be limited to the online sphere alone. The price-value ratio of the restaurant should also play a significant role. Experience-based marketing, pricing, event organization, and involving the local community can all contribute to making rural hospitality establishments more attractive to guests.
Online presence and the use of social media were highlighted as essential elements in the marketing strategy. In addition, engaging the local community can provide an opportunity to increase local support and loyalty. Honest communication is paramount to the success of gastronomic marketing, as followers need to receive accurate information about the hospitality establishments.
