The Hungarian pig sector’s competitiveness is unimaginable without the research background

This institute is one of the most important institutes, that will facilitate the Hungarian pig strategy – Fazekas Sándor said at the handover ceremony of the pig performance test lab in Herceghalom.The Minister for Rural Development added that the scientifically accredited laboratory meets the requirements of the 21st century.

Fazekas Sándor emphasized, that the institute was implemented from the budget of the Ministry of Rural Development, because the food industry’s competitiveness is unimaginable without the research background. Four years ago, in 2010 each agricultural sectors were in a ruiny condition. We had the hardest job in the pig sector, because in the time of the left-wing governments livestock farms were emptied, and slaughterhouses were closed.
