Foreign trade: freight and tourism produced serious surpluses
In the first quarter, exports of services in euro increased by 4.5 percent and imports by 3.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday.
The value of exports was 5,863 billion euros, and the value of imports was 3,920 billion euros.
Nearly four-quarters came from transport services, and 37 percent came from tourism.
The tourism surplus increased by 91 million euros to 717 million euros, compared to the first quarter of last year, with revenue rising by 10.6 percent and spending by 5.1 percent. (MTI)
