The Makery Hungarian restaurant chain is expanding abroad
Makery enters international market with 2 million USD ie 675 million HUF investment – hvg.hu wrote. The big innovation of the Hungarian restaurant chain is that the guests get ingredients instead of meals, so they can prepare their own meals in 20-25 minutes.
The company was sponsored by Hiventures, a member of the MFB group, and venture capitalist Solus Capital. The money is spent on developing an IT system that increases scalability, building international sales and marketing, and spreading a successful service.
By now, the contract has already been signed with two future franchise partners, and by the end of the year it is expected to have a Makery restaurant in Vienna and Stuttgart. (hvg.hu)
