Tesco purchases Hungarian melon to the foreign markets also
Tesco-Global Stores Ltd. is not only buys Hungarian melon for its Hungarian stores, but transports significant quantities to the Central European markets also – notified the company on Wednesday, adding that this week, the Hungarian fruit promotion was started in the company's Polish stores.
The supermarket chain purchased 2,700 tons of melons for the customers of the Czech, Slovak and Polish Tesco stores. This week, a special promotion was launched in the company's stores in Poland, so a further 500 tons from the Hungarian fruit will be put on the shelves. So far the chain bought approximately 7,000 tons of Hungarian melon this year – and this quantity is expected to grow until the end of the fruit season.
