KSH: economy continues to boost
Gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 5.0 percent in the third quarter, according to the raw data, and 4.8 percent in the third quarter compared to the same period last year – according to a first estimate released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday.
Analysts expected a 4.8 percent growth.
The Balanced Index, adjusted for all unique and extraordinary factors used by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union, also showed a year-on-year increase of 4.8 percent, after a 5.2 percent in the first half. Compared to the previous quarter, the seasonally and calendar-adjusted GDP growth was 1.1 percent, the same as in the second quarter. (MTI)
