KSH: earnings continued to grow
Earnings rose 8.2 percent in May from a year before. The average gross earnings of full-time employees of enterprises with at least 5 employees, budgetary institutions and non-profit organizations significant for employment were 431,600 HUF and the average net earnings excluding benefits were 287,000 HUF, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.
With inflation at 5.1 percent the same as the previous month, real earnings rose 2.9 percent in one year from 4.8 percent in April, when earnings rose 10.1 percent.
The regular average gross earnings calculated without bonuses, bonuses and one-month special benefits can be estimated at 402,900 HUF, 7.8 percent higher than a year before. (MTI)
