KSH: employment continued to increase
In the March-May period, the average number of employees was 4 million 457 thousand, 64 thousand more than a year before. The employment rate of the 15-64 year olds grew by 1.4 percentage points to 69.1 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
The number of employees increased by 12,000, compared to the February-April period.
The employment rate of young people aged 15 to 24 was 28.4 percent. The employment rate of the 25-54 year-olds increased by 1.0 percentage points to 84.3 percent, and among the 55-64-year-olds, the rate grew by 2.7 percentage points to 53.5 percent. (MTI)
