KSH: the number of employees continued to increase
The number of employees continued to increase in the three months from February to April: compared with the first quarter by 31 thousand, and compared to the same period of last year with 153 thousand – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Thursday. The annual increase was 3.7 percent.
In the 15-64 age group, the employment rate rose to 65.6 percent and was 2.8 higher than a year before and 0.5 percentage points higher, compared to the first quarter.
The private sector contributed to the annual employment growth with 11 thousand, while the public works programs with 28 thousand. The number of people working abroad increased by 13 thousand. (MTI)
