KSH: inflation slowed further in January
The consumer price level in January 2014 was on the level of the previous year’s, while compared to December 2013, consumer prices rose by an average of 0.3 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday.
Zero percent annual inflation occurred last time in March 1970 – Mináry Borbála, department leader of the Central Statistical Office told, when describing the datas. She added, that the domestic energy prices pulled down the inflation rate primarily, but the reduction in fuel prices and the off seasonal sales of cothes also contributed to the evolution of the inflation in January.
