KSH: retail sales continued to accelerate
In March, retail sales adjusted by the calendar effect increased by 8.5 percent compared to a year before. According to the seasonally adjusted and raw datas, the increase was 6.4 percent – the Central Statistical Office (CSO) reported on Wednesday.
The datas show higher growth rates, than was predicted in the last flash estimate that was published on 6 May. The datas indicate a further acceleration of sales, after the 6.7 percent raw unadjusted datas of February.
The turnover of the national retail chains and mail order and Internet retail trade at current prices amounted to 701 billion HUF in March, 42 billion HUF more than in March 2013. (MTI)
