KSH: trade surplus was 6.5 billion euros in 2014
Hungary's foreign trade balance closed last year with a 6.5 billion euros surplus, exports increased by 3.9, while imports grew by 4.3 percent compared to the previous year – teh Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced its first estimate on Monday.
In January-December, the value of exports was 84.475 billion euros (26,055 billion HUF), while the value of imports was 77.976 billion euros (24,048 million HUF).
In December, the exports in euro exceeded the previous year’s data by 9.2 percent, while imports increased by 7.8 percent. The balance surplus in December fell short of the 843 million euros in November and the 351 million euros in October. It was EUR 322 million euros, 97 million euros more than in the same month of the previous year. (MTI)
