KSH: the number of employees is close to 4.5 million

In the first quarter of this year, the average number of employees was 4, 497 thousand, 62 thousand more than a year before.

The employment rate of 15-64 year-olds increased by 1.2 percentage points to 69.9 percent. In the 20-64 age group, the employment rate increased by 1.2 percentage points to 75.1 percent, thus exceeding the EU target of 75.0 percent by 2020 – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Monday.
