In October, prices increased by 6.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year
In October this year, consumer prices were on average 6.5 percent higher than a year before. Over the past year, the prices of fuels, spirits and tobacco have risen significantly. Consumer prices rose by an average of 1.1 percent in one month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.

Increasing inflation in Hungary
In January-October this year, compared to the same period last year, consumer prices rose by an average of 4.6 percent for all households and by 4.2 percent for retired households.
Core inflation was 0.9 percent from the previous month and 4.7 percent from October last year. (MTI)
