KSH: consumer prices rose by 7.4 percent in November
In November, consumer prices were on average 7.4 percent higher than a year earlier. The last time inflation was at least that high was in December 2007, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Wednesday.
Core inflation was 5.3 percent in November, 0.6 percentage points higher than the previous month.
In the past year, the prices of fuels and tobacco products rose the most, by 37.7 and 16.8 percent, respectively. Compared to the previous month, consumer prices rose an average of 0.7 percent after rising 1.1 percent in October. (MTI)
