KSH: industrial production has increased
In April, the volume of industrial production was 3.1 percent higher than a year earlier, and working day adjusted output increased by 4.7 percent. Seasonally and working-day adjusted industrial output was 1.6 percent lower than in March after falling 0.2 percent in March, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) confirmed on Tuesday based on its second estimate.
In most of the manufacturing sub-sectors, the KSH measured an increase in annual comparison, but the vehicle production decreased significantly by 7.1 percent in April for the third month in a row.
Manufacturing, which accounts for the largest share of industry, grew by 2.8 percent and energy by 6.3 percent from April last year, while mining fell by 3.9 pe cent. (MTI)
