KSH: an increase in pig and cattle population
In the first half of the year, the pig population increased by 82 thousand, while the cattle population increased by 5 thousand – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on the basis of the 1 June datas.
In the middle of the year, the number of pigs was 3.1 million, 204 thousand more than a year earlier. The number of sows increased by 7 thousand to 200 thousand.
According to the 1 June datas, the cattle population increased to 25 thousand to 788 thousand within a year. The number of cows increased by 20 thousand to 356 thousand in the operiod. (MTI)
