KSH: an increase in trade surplus last year
Last year, exports amounted to 81.7 billion euros (24,244 billion HUF), while imports became 74.7 billion euros (22,154 billion HUF), so the trade balance surplus was 7 billion euros (2,090 billion HUF), which is 354 million euros (168 billion HUF) more than the figure of 2012 – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) told MTI on Wednesday.
The published datas are a bit different from the preliminary datas, that were forecasted in the beginning of February: last year's export value is slightly lower, than the previously forecasted 81.9 billion euros, while the import value is higher than the previously reported 74.6 billion euros. According to the preliminary datas, the trade balance was 617 million euros more than in 2012.
According to the datas of the Central Statistics Office (KSH) export and import volumes increased by 4.8 and 5.0 percent in 2013. (MTI)
