KSH: household income increased last year
In addition to the decrease in poverty, household income and consumption increased last year, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) told MTI on Friday.
In their summary of the living standards of households, they stated that the annual gross income per capita increased by 8.5 percent to HUF 2 million, and the real income growth was 3.4 percent last year. Between 2015 and 2021, the per capita net income of households rose by 40.7 percent in real terms.
The total annual expenditure for personal purposes per person increased by 8.4 percent to HUF 1,483,000, an increase of 3.1 percent in real terms. Among the household types, the income of single people was the highest, the wealthiest were those consisting of 2 adults and 2 children, and consumption expenditures increased in proportion to the size of the settlements. The regions of the Great Plain and Northern Hungary have been catching up to the average at a strong pace for years – they wrote.
