KSH: the number of employed increased in the fourth quarter of last year
In October-December last year, the average number of employees was 4 million 481 thousand, 34 thousand more than a year before. The employment rate of 15-64-year-olds increased by 0.7 percentage points to 69.5 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
For the whole of 2018, the average number of employees was 4 million 469 thousand, ie 48,000 more people were working, compared to the same period of the previous year. The employment rate for the 15-64 age group increased by 1.1 percentage points to 69.2 percent, compared to 2017. (MTI)
