KSH: has increased the number of employees

In May, the average monthly number of employed persons aged 15-74 increased by 55,000 compared to the previous year, and by 47,000 compared to the previous month, and reached 4,607,000, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.

In addition to the 26 thousand decrease in the number of the unemployed, the 29 thousand increase in the number of the active population present in the labor market also contributed to the 55 thousand increase in the number of employed. The number of the inactive population aged 15-74 staying away from the labor market decreased by 79 thousand, together with the 50 thousand decrease in the population of this age group, thus reducing the potential labor reserve calculated by the KSH, which was 365 thousand in May.
