KSH: a revival in foreign trade in June
The foreign trade turnover increased significantly in June: the value of exports calculated in euros increased by 13.4 percent, while the imports by 8.9 percent, compared to the previous year, while in the previous month, the value of exports grew by only 2.3 percent and the value of imports declined by 0.9 percent – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced its first estimate on Monday.
The trade surplus in June was 820 million euros, 362 million euros more than a year before and was 313 million more than the 507 million euros of a month before.
In the first half of the year, the export surplus was 4.310 billion euros and grew by 1.103 billion euros compared with the same period of the last year. Exports grew by 7.9 and imports grew by 5.8 percent. (MTI)
