KSH: exports increased more than imports in May
In May, exports were up 4.6 percent year-on-year and imports were up 2.9 percent year-on-year, so the monthly export surplus became 674 million euros, 181 million euros more – according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). For the first time since June last year, export growth was higher than that of imports.
The forint price level of foreign trade in imports and exports increased both by 2.5 percent, compared to the same month of the previous year, so the exchange rate did not change. The forint decreased by 2.7 percent against the euro and by 8.6 percent against the USD. (MTI)
