KSH: The number of employees increased in May compared to the previous month
In May, the average monthly number of employees was 4,399,000, 31,000 more than in the previous month and 134,000 less than a year before – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Monday.
In the March-May period, the average number of employees was 4,403,000, 2.2 percent less than a year before. The employment rate for aged 15-64 was 68.6 percent, 1.2 percentage points lower than a year before. The economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic have already affected the examined period in its entirety, so its effects are also reflected in the employment data, the KSH announced. (MTI)
