KSH: the increase in agricultural producer prices slowed down in May
The annual increase in crop production prices decreased to 3.5 percent in May, from the 6.8 percent of April.
While the increase in prices for live animals and animal products rose from 6.3 percent to 10.8 percent, resulting in an average of 6.0 percent higher prices than last year – the latest data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reveals.
The slowdown in the inflation of plant products was caused by a sharp slowdown in the rate of increase in prices of vegetables, potatoes and cereals. (MTI)
