KSH: consumer prices rose by 2.2 percent in May
In May, consumer prices were on average 2.2 percent higher than a year before. The more moderate rise in the price of services than last year played the largest role in the slowdown in inflation, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Tuesday.
For the fourth month in a row consumer price growth slowed last month from the 4.7 percent of January and after the 2.4 percent of April.
Consumer prices rose 0.4 percent in one month.
Annual core inflation fell to 4.0 percent from 4.3 percent in the previous two months. (MTI)
