Hungarians traveled more abroad and to Hungary than last year

Similarly to previous years, the number of domestic and foreign trips by Hungarians continued to increase – according to the sectoral analysis of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

According to KSH’s analysis on tourism and hospitality in 2018, a similar number of Hungarians traveled, compared to the previous year but for a longer period: they made 14.4 million days of domestic trips last year, the average duration of trips increased, so the number of days spent was 4.1 percent and increased to 60.3 million. More than half of the population took part in domestic multi-day trips, exceeding all previous data. (MTI)
