KSH: fewer goods were transported for longer distances in the third quarter
Fewer goods were transported over longer distances in the third quarter, the road and rail freight performance declined while it grew on the Danube, according to the Central Statistical Offivce’s (KSH) transport sector summary.
According to the data of the KSH, in the third quarter freight transport performance (14.4 billion tonne-kilometers) declined by 1.7 percent year-on-year. The performance of international transport in freight tonne-kilometers decreased by 0.7 percent and domestic transport by 3.9 percent. (MTI)
