KSH: retail sales increased by 5.7 percent in June
According to the raw data and the calendar adjusted data, the volume of retail sales in June increased by 5.7 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year – The Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
The growth was driven by the 9.7 percent rise in non-food retail turnover, after the previous month's 6.8 percent. In particular a revival can be experienced towards textile and clothing products, as well as towards the sales of furniture and technical items: the former increased by 15.4 percent, while the latter rose by 9.5 percent after the previous month's 13.8, and 6.4 percent.
