KSH: consumer prices rose by 2.9 percent in June
In June, consumer prices were on average 2.9 percent higher than a year before. Over the past year, the prices of food and spirits and tobacco have risen significantly – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
The June data broke the four-month slowdown in inflation, after annual inflation was lower at 2.2 percent in May.
Compared to May, consumer prices rose by an average of 0.4 percent in June, just like a month earlier. (MTI)
