KSH: In June, the turnover of hotels increased by 12 percent
In June, the number of nights spent by foreign guests grew by 15.6 percent, while the number of nights spent by domestic guests grew by 8.8 percent over the same period of last year, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). All guest nights rose by 12.0 percent to 2.9 million.
Room occupancy of the hotels rose by 6.2 percentage points to 64.0 percent.
Revenues from commercial accommodation grew more dynamically than guest turnover. The total revenue per room rose by 22.5 percent to 21 600 thousand HUF, room revenue by 24.1 percent to 13.185 thousand HUF. (MTI)
