KSH: wage growth in the private sector accelerated
Wage growth accelerated in the private sector in July: at businesses with at least five employees, the gross average earnings of workers increased by 4.5, their net earnings increased by 6.3 percent, compared to a year earlier, after the 2.8 and 4.4 percent increase of the previous month – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
Without the bonuses and other special benefits, the regular monthly salaries in the private sector were 4.9 percent higher than in last July, after the 2.9 percent increase of June.
In terms of the whole economy gross earnings increased by of 2.1 percent, net wages without calculating the impact of family tax benefits grew by 3.7 percent since last July. Without calculating the public workers the growth was 2.8 and 4.5 percent. (MTI)
