KSH: trade surplus rose to 448 million euros in July
In July, exports increased by 4.8 percent and imports increased by 4.0 percent compared to the previous year. Calculated in euros, trade surplus rose by 68 million to 448 million euros in July, compared to July 2012 – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
The preliminary report of the Central Statistics Office (KSH) was about 4.4 percent export growth in July, while the growth rate of imports has not changed. The volume of exports increased by 7.4 percent, while the value of imports increased by 6.4 percent in July.
In the first seven months of the year exports increased by 1.5 percent, imports increased by 1.8 percent compared to the same period of the last year. The trade surplus of 3.954 billion euros was 54 million lower, compared to a year earlier. In volume exports increased by 2.6 percent, while imports grew by 3.7 percent, compared with the first seven months of the last year. (MTI)
