KSH: agricultural producer prices increased in January by 4.8 percent
In January, agricultural producer prices increased by 4.8 percent higher, compared to a year before. The increase is due to the 10.5 percent increase in the prices of crop products, while the price of live animals and animal products fell by 4.7 percent – the Central Statistical Office reported on Friday (KSH).
The price of cereals in January increased by 4.9 percent, compared to a year before, mainly due to 16.1 percent increase in the price of corn, while the price of wheat fell by 8.9 percent. The price of fruits increased by 23 percent, while the price of potatoes increased by 54 percent. (MTI)
