KSH: In January, the number of employees was 4,644,000

The average monthly number of employees aged 15-74 was 4,644,000 in January 2022. In the period from November 2021 to January 2022, the average number of employees was 4,676,000, 75,000 more than in the same period of the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday.

Employment has expanded

In these three months, compared to a year earlier, the number of employees was 75,000, 4,676,000, while the number of employees in the domestic primary labor market increased by 87,000, while the number of public employees decreased by 15,000, the KSH wrote.

Between January and November, 4,568,000 people aged 15-64 were employed, with an employment rate of 73.9 percent. (MTI)
