KSH: the number of employed is over 4.5 million again

The number of employees was again over 4.5 million, averaged over the March-May three-month period. Last time, the number of employees was so high in August-October last year. The number of employees increased by 43 thousand, compared to the year before – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.

The number of people working on the primary labor market increased by 84, the number of people working on foreign sites increased by 8 thousand, while the number of those who were self-employed decreased by 48 thousand to 114 thousand.
The employment rate of 15-64 year olds increased by 0.8 percentage points to 69.9 percent. In the 20-64 age group, the employment rate rose by 0.8 percentage points to 75.0 percent, which is in line with the EU target set in the Europe 2020 strategy. (MTI)
