KSH: retail sales continued to increase
According to raw data, calendar effect adjusted retail trade turnover in August was 5.3 percent higher than a year before – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
Food and food related retail sales grew by 3.4 percent in retail stores, after the 4.5 percent in July. The volume of sales in food related retail stores – which account for 75 percent of the food retail trade – grew by 3.6 percent, while sales of beverage and tobacco stores increased by 3.0 percent.
