KSH: the use of biofuels is increasing constantly
The share of biofuels is continuously increasing in Hungary within fuel consumption. In 2004, it was 0.4 percent, while in 2014 it was 6.9 percent, and surpassed the 5.9 percent average of the European Union (EU) – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) told MTI on Friday.
In Hungary, liquid biofuels are mainly produced from maize and rapeseed, in a lesser extent from sunflower and other cereals.
The Central Statistical Office pointed out that by 2020, all EU Member States must reach the 10 percent share of biofuels in transportation. (MTI)
