The growth rate of retail sales accelerated significantly in February
In February, retail sales for both raw and calendar-adjusted data were 8.4 percent higher than a year before. The growth in traffic has accelerated significantly from the 5.4 percent pace in January – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
In February, the turnover of all three major store types increased. In non-food retail stores, the volume of calendar effect adjusted sales increased by 10.8 percent after the 6.4 percent of the previous month. The turnover in food and food mixed retail stores grew by 4.8 percent after the 3.9 percent of January. (MTI)
