KSH: exports increased more than imports in February
In February, the value of exports in euro increased by 5.0, the value of imports in euro increased by 4.5 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. The foreign trade surplus increased by 72 million euros to 838 million euros – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported its first estimate on Monday.
In January, export rate growth was 10.2 percent and import rate growth was 9.1 percent, of which 698 million euros came from exports.
In February, exports amounted to 8.524 billion euros and imports amounted to 7.685 billion euros. Compared to the previous month, exports increased by 57 million euros, imports dropped by 84 million euros, resulting in 140 million euros higher export surpluses. (MTI)
