KSH: more and more foreigners visit Hungary

The foreign visitor traffic growth continued in the third quarter, while the residence time has not changed. The number of travels by the Hungarians to abroad increased, due to the increase of the one day trips  – announced the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Thursday.

In the first three quarters, 32.3 million foreign visitors arrived to Hungary, 3.8 percent more than in the same period of last year. The foreign visits were concentrated to the summer months, 46 percent of the total traffic occurred in the third quarter. The number of arrivals for one day increased by 2.4, the number of arrivals for several days increased by 8.5 percent in the first nine months. The rate of one-day visitor was 75 percent – reports MTI.
