KSH: prices for pigs for slaughter have risen
According to the Central Statistical Office (KSH), agricultural producer prices were on average 17.4 percent higher than a year before, which is 1.9 percentage points higher than the 15.5 percent increase in April. Within this, the purchase price of live animals jumped 6.5 percentage points, becoming 3.5 percent more expensive than in May last year. The 7.3 percent annual increase in the price of animal products is also 0.3 percentage points higher than in the previous month. The purchase price of live animals and animal products increased by an average of 4.7 percent, which is 4.6 percentage points more than the 0.1 percent in April. (MTI)
