KSH: retail sales in January increased by 4.8 percent
In January, the volume of retail stores increased by 4.8 percent, according to the raw data, while calendar effect adjusted increased by 3.8 percent, compared to the same period of 2016 – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced its second estimate on Thursday.
Both figures indicate a 0.1 percentage point higher increase than in the first estimate published on 3 March.
The increase lasts for a consecutive 43 months, since mid-2013.
In the food and mixed retail stores, the calendar effect adjusted volume of retail sales increased by 3.4, in non food retail by 3.7 percent. The calendar effect adjusted sales volume in fuel retailing increased by 6.7 percent. (MTI)
