KSH: the Hungarian economy grew faster in the first quarter than predicted
In the first quarter, Hungary's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 3.5 percent, and was 0.8 percent higher than in the previous quarter – Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported in its second estimate on Friday.
In the first estimate in mid-May – based on preliminary data – a 3.4 percent annual and a 0.6 percent quarterly growth was predicted.
The calendar effect and adjusted data show an increase of 3.3 percent, 0.2 percentage points higher than the previously reported 3.1 percent. (MTI)
