KSH: Food industry sales prices increased by 5.4 percent

In October 2025, industrial producer prices were on average 1.8 percent higher than a year earlier. Domestic sales prices increased by 0.9 percent and export sales by 2.2 percent compared to October of the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Friday.

Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices decreased by 0.1 percent, export sales prices increased by 0.7 percent, so industrial producer prices were 0.4 percent higher overall.

Compared to October 2024, domestic sales prices were 0.6 percent higher in the manufacturing industry, which represented 62.7 percent, and 1.3 percent higher in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning) with a weight of 35.4 percent. The sales prices of the food industry increased by 5.4 percent.

According to the KSH report, among the groups of sectors by purpose, prices in the domestic energy and secondary consumption sectors increased by 0.1 percent, in the capital goods sector by 0.2 percent, and in the consumer goods sector by 4.4 percent.

Industrial export sales prices increased by 2.2 percent, within which prices increased by 0.1 percent in the manufacturing industry, which accounts for 91.8 percent, and by 4.8 percent in the energy industry, which accounts for 8.0 percent.

In January-October 2025, domestic sales prices were 3.1 and export sales were 6.7, so industrial producer prices increased by 5.5 percent overall compared to January-October 2024.
